This demo reel features of some of the work I did at The Criterion Collection as staff Motion Graphics Animator and Video Editor from 2002-2011. On the pieces that feature animated graphics, I typically worked with Criterion's great roster of designers, and helped bring their frames to life.

This video is a supplement from the Naked Prey DVD released by The Criterion Collection in 2007. The video depicts a tale which originally appeared in the book HISTORY AND STORIES OF NEBRASKA by Addison Erwin Sheldon. The story was originally told by John Colter, an American trapper who evaded Blackfoot Indians in the Nebraska wilderness. This story later inspired Naked Prey.

The halftone CMYK effect was done by running an image sequence through photoshop and then tweaking the contrast. It is cool how the ink dots change size over time but never move.
